I love Netflix. Why? Because it’s provided me countless hours of movies and TV shows (as if I actually have time to watch them) that I either thought weren’t worth paying for, or worth sitting through annoying commercials. Which brings me to my next point. I love LOST. I know, I’m way late to the series. And as a skeptic, I initially thought “there’s no way I can get hooked on a TV show…” three and a half seasons later, it’s hard to stop watching (especially when all the episodes are instantly available to stream). The story is unexpectedly twisting, and the emotional bond to the characters makes you love and hate them at the same time. However, I feel what really makes the show is the music. Michael Giacchino, award-winning composer for movies like Star Trek and video games like Call of Duty, scores a perfect soundtrack that’s nostalgic, inspiring, eerie, and simply beautiful—all at the same time. I usually don’t find myself listening to soundtracks too much, but this one is a personal favorite, and definitely worth mentioning. OK, enough talk and more listen. There are tons of soundtrack clips available on YouTube; check them out!
