As a designer at my day job, for the past few months I’ve been working on mobile applications, specifically an iPad magazine. It’s been a challenging experience, but it’s really great to see how technology is changing the way we interact with new content every day. Then I got to thinking, what if we had a Hideo app for the iPad/iPhone (or similar smart device)? A central place where people could go to read up on daily news, events, tour schedules, view galleries, watch videos and listen to audio tracks. It would be fully integrated with Facebook and Twitter applications, and have a forum section for music recommendations, and open conversation.
Another idea some of us envisioned was to have a live feedback system for the audience during a show. For example, a simple poll asking whether or not we should play song A or song B as the ending. The result would depend on audience participation, and this app could be a direct portal to this live feedback system. Something like this would definitely take development time, but I’m thinking this could be an awesome way for Hideo to interact with its audience. Have other ideas? Let us know!
